Question 1

What makes Speedy Underhood Service's diagnostic approach different from other repair shops?

Accepted Answer

Founder Derrick M. brings over 32 years of experience as a Blue Seal mechanic and approaches automotive troubleshooting like a medical doctor. Rather than guessing or replacing unnecessary parts at your expense, Derrick uses modern diagnostic equipment to identify the exact root cause of a fault. We provide transparent written estimates before any work begins, utilize flat-rate labor rather than hourly billing, and credit your $99 diagnostic fee toward qualifying same-day repairs.

Question 2

Do you offer mobile automotive repair services in Columbus, and what are the fees?

Accepted Answer

Yes! We offer mobile automotive service for customers located within approximately 5 miles of our shop at 3765 April Ln in Columbus, OH. Mobile service fees currently range between $50–$99 plus labor and tax depending on your location. Just like our in-shop appointments, mobile diagnostic fees can be credited toward qualifying same-day repairs.

Question 3

How does flat-rate labor pricing benefit me as a customer?

Accepted Answer

Unlike traditional auto repair shops that bill by unpredictable hourly clocks—where you pay more if a job takes longer—Speedy Underhood Service uses standardized flat-rate labor charges. You receive a clear written estimate before repair work starts, so you know the exact cost upfront regardless of how long the repair takes.

Question 4

Do I need to schedule an appointment for in-house or mobile repair service?

Accepted Answer

Yes, appointments are required for both in-shop services and mobile repair visits to ensure Derrick can dedicate his full, unhurried diagnostic attention to your vehicle. You can request a consultation by calling or texting us at (380) 239-6469 or by submitting our online consultation form.
